Is this a login stauts block of some kind? Greatly appreciate any further help. Any login window I encounter does nothing when I press ALT-F4. Google Earth Pro 7.1.5 and earlier requires a license key. The Pro versions of Google Earth 6.0 and earlier are no longer supported. Some of the following installers do not auto-update (not recommended).
NOTE: if the login Status" is blocking access to this window then do the following: click on the login window, press ALT-F4, then read the message below." The details are the same as Jenny72 post: "check32-bit,etc." but alll to no avail. If you need to manually update Google Earth, you can download the most recent 6.2 and 7.x direct installers. It still says "DirectX mode not supported. I have removed AVG and installed Microsoft Security Essentials but it has made no difference. Google Earth always worked perfectly until I installed AVG2013 and AVG Tuneup.
It's a desktop, and there is no separate video card.
